Bike route ends at the Freedom Foundation (between Phoenixville and Valley Forge, PA) where we will have a short ceremony. This location is fitting for many reasons, least of which is it was the site of the first FotF Ride for Freedom over 20 years ago. The Freedom Foundation features an Honor Grove of Medal of Honor recipients for each state. Wear the riding boots you are actually comfortable walking in!Sor
We ask that if you join the ride, you stay for the brief memorial ceremony at the Freedom FOundation, which includes a reading of the <100 names of the PA POWs/MIAs. Please do not fire up the pipes during the ceremony.
Event shirts and commemorative patches will be on sale at the High School. The sale of shirts and patches help support the Friends of the Forgotten, a not-for-profit organization formed to promote awareness of POWs and MIAs in an effort to keep pressure on our government to bring back EVERY servicemember (living or dead) sent overseas to defend U.S. freedom.
The intent and purpose of Friends Of The Forgotten, Inc. is to educate and raise public awareness of the POW/MIA issue. Friends Of The Forgotten, Inc. is not connected with, or an affiliate of any other organization or political party. Friends Of The Forgotten, Inc. is not intended to raise funds for profit.
